What is the Engineering and Science Admissions Test?

The ESAT is a computer-based admissions test for science and engineering courses, including at Cambridge and Imperial. Speed matters: you need fast, accurate maths and science without a calculator. Notenix mocks train exactly that.

ESAT format

  • You sit the modules your course requires; check your university's course page.
  • Each module is 27 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes.
  • No calculator: arithmetic and estimation speed are part of the test.
  • Each module is reported on a 1.0–9.0 scale.

How Notenix helps you prepare

  • Full ESAT-style papers written by Oxbridge-level tutors.
  • Per-question timing so you can see where minutes are lost.
  • Topic breakdowns and parent-ready performance reports.
  • Tutor review of your mock with a plan for what to fix next.
